I was recently diagnosed with ADHD around 6 months back, interestingly enough, when Kate said I should look into it. I had depression and anxiety diagnoses, and never thought of ADHD. After I was diagnosed I was sort of angry and didn’t do the exploring I would normally do. That’s why I was glad for this class. First of all, Kate is not only very knowledgeable in the subject, she is excited to share about it and help others understand the particulars of ADHD. The class is fact-based, but also allows for personal experience, as you share and learn from others who also have ADHD. I looked forward to not only learning about how my mind and body worked on ADHD, but also gaining a community and speaking to like-minded people every week. Kate is helping people understand and appreciate ADHD on a daily basis, and this class is more of a deep dive into the important task she has taken on. I hope this class continues to help others understand themselves or loved ones, as it as helped me.

Kate is both very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I appreciate that the information she presented in this course was based in science and on established research without being overly complicated. It was great to finally get some understanding of what "Executive Functions" are supposed to actually be! Everyone in the class was super supportive and friendly too. It was so nice to have an understanding place to share and compare notes on the ADHD experience with other ADHD women/AFAB. The one-on-one sessions are very useful as well, especially if you are feeling stuck in your career or academically. Perhaps best of all, the reading assignments helped me actually read the ADHD workbook I had previously just been checking out from the library over and over.

I'm so glad I participated in this course! I learned more about myself, ADHD, and how it has been such a part of my life, a part of me, without even realizing it. The class itself was full of supportive, relatable women who I enjoyed interacting with. Kate has a wealth of knowledge on the subject, presents things in an insightful way and shares many resources. I now have the motivation and tools to take the steps to get a proper diagnoses. Thank you!
