First of all... THANK YOU! I came to her class as a newly diagnosed. ( I was diagnosed by complete accident.a VERY lucky accident) While I was excited that all the puzzles I have had through my life being finally solved, I was also clueless. This course has introduced me to the world of ADHD and it helped me realize that all the things I struggle ARE common for people with ADHD. So, I am not the only one... It felt so nice to say " I do that, too!" without feeling like a failure. One of the very eye opening thing she has said to me was that we are very good at being nice to other people, but not to ourselves. And that's what I have always done. Just today, my son has told me that his iPad at school was taken away again because he left it back in the class room. ( last time was in the school yard after some sort of project ) and he was VERY upset. I told him that I have taken his "privilege away for his carelessness" before because I didn't know how to work with him. I wish the teacher knew how she is supposed to work with kids like him ( He probably has ADHD, too) but she doesn't. I asked him if he did it on purpose. If he wanted to forget it there. If he thinks it is an important thing. All expected answers were being said. I said "see, you didn't mean to. But it happens. It happens to me. As I got older, I got "the tips" but it still happens. You have to let go of the anger because unfortunately she (the teacher) doesn't understand you. BUT we will work on it together from now on. Ok?" This was the first time I could talk to him like this. He looked relieved. He looked understood. This credit goes to the course. She has also patiently answered all my questions about the classes and other things. Some of them comes from me not being a non-native speaker. She is a very fun, caring and open teacher. I cannot recommend this course enough. Can't wait to start the next course!

I loved it! Very interesting course! Kate explained difficult concepts so that I could understand them easily and furthermore provided useful and well researched information in form of academic literature or podcasts of fellow ADHDers that fit the topics we were talking about in class. Moreover, every week I was looking forward to connect with others with ADHD, especially people living in Japan. Thank you for having me in your class, Kate!

Kate is both very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I appreciate that the information she presented in this course was based in science and on established research without being overly complicated. It was great to finally get some understanding of what "Executive Functions" are supposed to actually be! Everyone in the class was super supportive and friendly too. It was so nice to have an understanding place to share and compare notes on the ADHD experience with other ADHD women/AFAB. The one-on-one sessions are very useful as well, especially if you are feeling stuck in your career or academically. Perhaps best of all, the reading assignments helped me actually read the ADHD workbook I had previously just been checking out from the library over and over.
